The thinking behind my Twittering

I decided to create this page to explain the thinking behind my twitter thoughts. I think aloud through twitter  so sometimes you may read my tweets and wonder what planet I am from. I intend to use this age to defend myself!

I have tried many approaches to weight management because I’ve always had a problem myself despite being very athletic. But also many of my clients are concerned about healthy weight loss and living energetic lives.

My latest trial is to fast one day per week. I allowed myself to put nearly a stone on since I went to live in Barbados for a month, in November. I did it deliberately with the intention of giving fasting a try.

I wanted to fast because it crops up in nearly every culture that I have looked at. It has many spiritual connections too and is looked upon favourably by most health care advisors.  I decided every Monday or Tuesday for the foreseeable future I will fast from 10pm until 10am on the day following the next day.

After a month I will publish my training diaries on this page to let you make your own minds up whether to give it a try.

How much time do we spend looking forward to the end result of our goals instead of enjoying the journey?

How much time do we spend thinking about the past?

There are so many enlightened figures who are telling us to appreciate each moment, will we ever get the message?

I am a coach and a therapist but mainly clients come to me with worries.

I notice how often as soon as we help dispel current worries the client finds a new worry to replace the displaced one.

Thoughts are just thoughts but how damaging we allow them to become.

If we realise how our feelings can change as does the weather from moment to moment we realise they are just as important as rainy days and just as important as sunny days.

When life is really tough, when everthing seems to be going against us it can help to ask how we have moved away from loving feelings. Most problems result from moving away from love.

I received some awful news about the health of someone I love and yet felt peacful still.

At first I felt guilty because any normal person would feel bad at such news. Then I realised that the person about whom I was supposed to feel so bad about is a loving beautiful person.

They have enough on their plates dealing with their own challenges without everyone who loves them feeling bad because of their news.

Suffering is a mind thing, we can manage our minds. I am not saying do not feel feelings.
 
I shed some tears upon hearing the news, I felt the feelings, let them go and tried to be the master of my mind.

Trouble is , not everyone can understand that because society tells us to be a certain way it does not follow that that is the right way. 





I am proud to have been accepted as a member of the Association For Coaching and fully endorse their ethical guidelines.
The therapy side of my training I believe offers me the tools to help clients that may not be quite ready to be coached because they need to address issues from their past before being ready to move forward.
